Painting wood with acrylic paints

Quick-drying acrylic paints are weather-resistant, what makes their colours extremely long-lasting. They have relatively thin consistency and leave a thin coating that is why it is sometimes necessary to apply a few layers of paint.

When choosing a roller for painting with acrylic paints, remember to select one with a short pile which enables painting surfaces smoothly without leaving a roller’s structure.

A natural bristle used in brushes makes applying liquid paints easier.  Due to the amount of water they contain, it can expand and negatively influence the effect of painting. That is why it is essential to use a mixture with a synthetic bristle which is less hygroscopic.  It helps to retain a proper shape and structure as well as lessen pressure thanks to its elasticity.
